The small island of Malta captivates with its vibrant history, fascinating natural beauty, and lively traditions. From prehistoric temples to the Knights of St. John and the Maltese Order to the British – everywhere, the millennia-old history can be felt and experienced. Look forward to picturesque fishing villages, medieval fortresses, and winding old towns; discover mythical megalithic temples and prehistoric caves. A day trip to the sister island of Gozo rounds off the journey.
Brilliant symphonies of color and light: Since 2004, the Malta International Fireworks Festival has taken place every year at the end of April. This spectacular event, commemorating Malta’s accession to the European Union on 1 May 2004, is one of the absolute highlights on Malta and Gozo. On this trip, two evening visits to these fascinating events are planned. As the organizers’ timetable has not yet been finalized, these program items are not currently listed in the itinerary.
If necessary, the program will be slightly adjusted. However, you will generally be back from your daily excursions in time to enjoy the magical sea of lights in the Maltese sky.
