Menorca, very different from its big sister Mallorca, enchants with its tranquillity and unspoilt nature. Beautiful bays with white sandy beaches and turquoisecoloured water, picturesque fishing villages and a hilly green hinterland make the island a paradise for pleasure hikers. Together with your local guide, you will walk along the island’s most beautiful paths and trails. Relaxation and swimming breaks are taken at pictureperfect beaches, sometimes with a picnic. In small fishing villages, you will enjoy typical local cuisine in family-run restaurants and finish off with a cheese tasting with local wine – the “Queso Mahon” is famous throughout Spain.
This trip includes five easy to moderately difficult hikes of up to eleven kilometres on paved, sandy or rocky paths and trails. With a normal level of fitness, these are easy to master as there are frequent breaks.
Off to Menorca
At 06:15 Luxair will take you to Mahon on Menorca (flight time approx. 2.5 hours). After arriving at 08.40 am, you will be greeted with a warm “Hola” and taken to the hotel (approx. 55 kilometres/approx. one hour’s drive). After check-in, there is time to relax. In the afternoon you will meet your tour guide and receive further information about the itinerary. (D)

To the sandy beach of Binigaus
After breakfast, drive to Son Bou, the starting point of your hike. This leads along a beautiful route to the long, narrow sandy beach of Binigaus, perfect for a first swimming break and a cosy picnic by the sea. Crystalclear water, white sand and a relaxed atmosphere – it’s time to feel good! On the journey to Es Mitjorn Gran, you can inspect the spectacular Des Coloms cave, which has earned its nickname “The Cathedral”. The pretty village of Mitjorn Gran, picturesquely situated in the green hills, enchants with pastel-coloured houses, quiet alleyways and nice cafés. From lighthouse to fishing village
Drive to the northernmost point of the island. The Cavallerias lighthouse is picturesquely situated on a barren rocky outcrop. After you have had your fill of the sweeping panoramic views, lace up your hiking boots. Your path leads along the coast and through the rocky hinterland to Fornells. Once there, you will have lunch in a small family-run restaurant above the harbour. There is free time for a stroll through the picturesque fishing village, which is one of the most beautiful villages on Menorca with its whitewashed houses. Return to the hotel. The diversity of Menorca
The south coast of Menorca is like a paradise: wooded hills, babbling torrents, picturesque bays with turquoise-blue water. The hike takes you through Mediterranean heathland, where you will encounter bizarre limestone and sandstone formations, prehistoric tombs and old country estates. After an extensive swimming and picnic break at a beautiful spot by the sea, you continue your hike to the hotel. Picture-book beaches in the romantic south
Romantic bays accompany your hike today too. From the hotel, you first walk to the semi-circular Cala Turqueta, as the name suggests: turquoise blue water, gently rocking boats and a beautiful white sandy beach invite you to take a break for a swim. This is followed by Cala Macarella, another picture-perfect bay. The day’s destination is Cala Galdana, where you will have lunch in a restaurant located directly on the beach. Talayiot culture and “Queso Mahon”
The bus takes you to the necropolis near Cala Morell, one of the most important prehistoric sites on the island. You will visit the burial and burial caves from the Talayotic period (1500-300 BC), walk through the small village to the impressive cliffs of Morell. The journey to the Torre d’en Quart, an imposing tower from the Middle Ages surrounded by fields and meadows, is short. Here you can enjoy a cheese tasting accompanied by a matching wine. Look forward to some delicious “Queso Mahon”, Menorca is known and famous throughout Spain for its good cheese. Return to the hotel. Return flight to Luxembourg
After an early breakfast, you drive to Mahon airport, where Luxair departs at 9.25 am and you land in Luxembourg at 11.50 am (flight time approx. 2.5 hours). (B)

For air travel, our sales prices are generally based on special and tour operator fares of the airline(s) selected for the trip in question. The accommodation offers free WiFi, but the network coverage is not always perfect. Please note that the hotel only offers non-smoking rooms/apartments. If some of the accommodation we have booked is unexpectedly unavailable, we will book an alternative of equal value (if possible).
This trip includes five easy to moderately difficult hikes of up to eleven kilometres on paved, sandy or rocky paths and trails. You will need sturdy hiking boots with a good tread that reach above the ankle as well as a small rucksack to carry a windbreaker, sun cream, headgear, sunglasses and a 1-litre drinking bottle. Hiking poles are not absolutely necessary. We cannot accept any liability for any hiking accidents.

No insurance is included in the tour price. We strongly recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance that also covers Covid-19 as well as appropriate travel health insurance that includes Covid-19 treatment (including quarantine).
This trip is not suitable for guests with limited mobility. Please let us know the nature of your mobility restriction before booking and clarify with us whether we can fulfil your us whether we can fulfil your individual needs.
